Vickie A. (Schneider) Chapman, died peacefully in her sleep July 30, 2014, at the age of 57, succumbing to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Vickie was born on July 23, 1957, in Thomas, Oklahoma. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, in Weatherford, Oklahoma and subsequently achieved a Master's Degree in Music Education. After teaching music for many years, Vickie retired from teaching in the Montgomery County School System in Maryland, in 2009, to be cared for by her sister and brother-in-law, Vinita and John, and their sons James, Andrew, and David in Woodbury.
She is survived by her daughter and son, Lauren Chapman of Washington, D.C. and Michael Chapman, of Houston, Texas; her parents, Dwaine and Wanda (Motley) Schneider of Thomas, Oklahoma; her brother, Tom Schneider and his wife Donna, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; a sister, Vinita Chapman and her husband John, of Woodbury, Connecticut; a sister, Valinda Fisher and her husband Tim, of Thomas, Oklahoma; several cousins, nephews, nieces, and great-nieces and nephew.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thankfulness to all caregivers and friends who made it possible for Vickie to live at home. Special gratitude is extended to Season's Hospice for their caring and continued support.

Funeral: St. Teresa's Church
Services: A funeral mass will be held Monday, August 11th at 10: 30, at St. Teresa's Church in Woodbury, Connecticut.
Visitation: There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, August 10, from 5-7 pm, at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St.
