Veronica (Ronnie) Extance- Bridgewater- 56 passed away peacefully on March 30, 2016 surrounded by family. She fought a courageous, nearly a year long battle with leukemia.

Ronnie is survived by her parents, Steven and Marie Szabolcsi, now living in North Carolina and her Godmother, Louise Sbaffoni in Fl. She also leaves behind many relatives in her parent's home country of Hungary.

The immediate family, consisting of her husband of 38 years, Phil, in Bridgewater; son Steve, his wife Robin and their son Chase, in Southbury; daughter, Lisa, her husband Jason Morton, their son Christopher, in Naugatuck; son Mike and his fiance, Casey Hill, in Woodbury. Additionally, she leaves behind many good friends and co-workers.
Ronnie was a very caring and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She always put the needs of others before her own. Ronnie enjoyed many activities including hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, skiing and also taking a few cruises to the Caribbean. She was an avid gardener, bird lover and animal lover. She rescued and rehomed many abandoned cats and kittens, taking many of them into her home.

She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
