Timothy N. Cocchiola, 45, of Kettletown Woods died Saturday evening, August 31, surrounded by family and friends in his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Tim was the husband of Bonnie (McAllister) Cocchiola. Tim was born October 17, 1973 in Waterbury son of Frederick Cocchiola of Woodbury, and Norma (O 'Rourke) Gregory of Watertown. He was the father of Timothy and Peyton, both of Southbury, son in law to Bill and Susan McAllister of Southbury and Lacey Gregory of Watertown. He is also survived by a sister Dana and her husband Jim Bruton of Middlebury, three brothers William, Fred and Dean Cocchiola all of Watertown, a brother and sister in-law Robert and Gina McAllister of Florida, a stepbrother, stepsisters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepmother Martha Cocchiola. Tim's passing gave heaven another angel.

He gave his family and friends everything he possibly could; he is now in heaven, pain free and smiling down on us all. Friends may call the daily chapel at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury on Wednesday September 4, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm. A funeral mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church on Thursday September 5, 2019 at 10 am. Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart cemetery, Southbury. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made directly to Bonnie Cocchiola for funding the college educations of Timothy and Peyton Cocchiola or memorial contributions may be made to St Vincent DePaul Society of Support, 173 Mark Lane Unit #6, Waterbury CT 06704.
