THOMAS PIAZZA, SR.


BETHLEHEM- Thomas Piazza Sr, 25 Lake Drive, Bethlehem, Ct 87 died peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on Sunday Nov. 12, 2006.

Mr. Piazza was born Oct 19, 1919 in New York, NY the son of late Dominic and Conceta Piazza. He enlisted in the Army and served during World War II in Europe Involved in the D Day invasion and continued through Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and ending in Central Europe at the end Of the War.

He was a Bethlehem resident since 1955 serving on the Planning Commission, Town Hall Building Committee, Board of Tax Review and The Long Meadow Pond Committee. His activities with the Boy Scouts of America spanned over 30 years serving as Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master and Scout Council Member earning the Silver Beaver Award in 1983.

He worked as a Carpenter with The Carpenters Union Local 24 for 34 years working on projects throughout the Waterbury area.

A Wife Ludmila, 2 sons Thomas Jr and Robert and a Grandson Eric R. all from Bethlehem survive him
