Thomas Winfield South III, 37, of New Milford, CT, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT. Mr. South was, for many years, a noted landscape designer. A graduate of Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, he also attended Dean College in Franklin, Mass. A devoted parent, son and brother, he is survived by his son Thomas Disston South, his parents, Hamilton Disston South III and Karen South of Van Hornesville, NY and Matinicus Island, Maine; a sister, Mary South of New York City; and his brothers, Hamilton Disston South IV of New Milford, CT and Padraic South of East Hampton, New York.
