Thomas Bradfield Meek Jr., 89, of Woodbury, CT, passed peacefully in his home Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was the faithful husband of Penelope Rockwell Meek, who passed earlier this year. Mr. Meek is survived by his son, Thomas B. Meek III of Cambridge, MA and daughter, Amy Elizabeth Mayo of Savannah, GA, as well as four grandchildren.
Born in New York City, Tom grew up in Columbus, Ohio and was an Army veteran of WWII. After serving, he attended the Ohio State University, earning a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He then moved to CT to work at Sikorsky Aircraft, retiring 37 years later.
Besides being a dedicated family man, Tom enjoyed woodworking, renovating a 1741 Colonial, and watching OSU Football. He also supported Penny in her many and varied animal related endeavors, becoming a consummate gentleman farmer.
