Thomas M. Donegan passed away peacefully after a long illness at the Valerie Nursing home in Torrington Connecticut on March 2nd 2023. He was 81 years of age. Tom was born on October 1st,1941 in Milford, Connecticut. He was highly educated, holding a Batchelor of Science degree from Worchester Polytech Institute, Master Degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and a Master in Business Administration from the Wharton Graduate School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania.

Tom was fun to be around and was extremely sociable. He was a great friend to many and had friendships that dated back over 50 years. Tom married Jean Finger in 1975 and together they built an extraordinary home in Bethlehem, Connecticut in 1979. They had a wonderful relationship until Jean died in an accident several years ago. Tom will be remembered by many in Bethlehem and the surrounding area for his easy-going sociability and the gift of gab, which the Irish, which Tom indelibly was, call blarney.

Tom had a long career in aviation, starting with American Airlines and Hughes Air West. Later, he worked with Boeing Aircraft selling major airplanes in the Middle East. He last worked with United Technologies in a supply chain system which he invented. Tom was also an inveterate traveler, and there are very few countries in the world that he had not visited for business or pleasure.

Tom will be sorely missed by all his friends.

There will be a viewing at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home at 2 School St. Woodbury, Connecticut on Tuesday, March 7th 2023, at 4 until 6 pm. The Funeral will be held with a Christian service, at 10am on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Bethlehem Cemetery on Main St. in Bethlehem, Connecticut.
