Tessie (Geletka) Preslopsky, 96, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2016. She was the widow of William J. Preslopsky.
She was born in Waterbury, CT on Dec. 28, 1919, to the late Aksenty and Mary (Kasarowich) Geletka. Tessie is survived by her daughters Pattie (Peter) Kopcha and Carol (Rigo) Rodriguez; grandchildren Will Kopcha, Rachel (Zach) Goulet, Christine Rodriguez, and Robert Rodriguez and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Anne Speck and Eugenia Mischou. Tessie was predeceased by her brother John Geletka and a sister, Irene Kavula.
The family would like to give our sincerest and warmest thanks to the staff at The Lutheran Home of Southbury, especially on C2-S, for all of their understanding, compassion, support and caring during Tessie's stay. You are all amazing caregivers and always made us feel like we were a part of your 'family'. We could not have asked for anything more.
The funeral service will take place at Christ the Savior Church, Southbury, CT on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be before the funeral service beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery, Waterbury, CT.
