Sylvia Gerstein, 96, of Fort Worth, Texas, died peacefully in her sleep on September 1.
Mrs. Gerstein was born August 13, 1915 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Samson and Lillian Ewens Finn. She was a graduate of West Virginia University and of the Simmons School of Management in Boston, Massachusetts.
Her husband, Jacob Gerstein, and a son, Judge Michael Gersten, preceded her in death.
Surviving are another son, Robert Gersten of Fort Worth, Texas; two granddaughters, Kimberly Finn Gersten of Allen, Texas and Jennifer Lokie of Plano, Texas; two grandsons, USAF Major Trevor Gersten of Fort Worth, Texas and Jeffrey Russell of Plano, Texas. Also surviving is a nephew, Ronald Polan of Falls Church, Virginia.
Burial will be in Woodbury, Connecticut.

Memorials: Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Cemetery: New North Cemetery

Services: A memorial service will be held in Texas later this month.
