Sylvia Fontes, 87th year, of Clearwater, FL, passed January 21, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Fortunata Calabro of Providence, RI and is survived by sister Frances (Renzi); predeceased by her sister Mary (Cimaglia) and brothers Stephen and Salvatore.

She was the widow of Ernest Fontes Sr., her husband of sixty-five years. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Gorton), Leland (husband) and children Jennifer and David; son Ernest Fontes Jr., Masha (wife) and children Lila, Ernest Eugene, and Andrei; son David Fontes, Elizabeth (wife) and children Justin and Lauren; and son Alan Fontes, Donna (wife) and children Gina and Staci.

She was a little sweetheart and the sparkle in her husband's eye. She loved being with family and spending time with friends. She loved cooking, where she spoiled us all with amazing foods, and enjoyed family gatherings where she regularly beat us playing games. She was a joy to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
