Susan Kurtzberg (Sue), 82, passed away at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, July 10, 2021, with her granddaughter at her side. Sue is the daughter of the late Frances Dinkin-Weiss and David Garrett (Ginsberg).

Sue is survived by her son, David Frohman, of Atlanta, Ga, her granddaughter Tikva Brodsky-Rose and husband, Douglas Rose Jr. of Woodbury, Ct and her grandson Yosef Brodsky of Yorktown Heights, NY.

Sue is also survived by her great grandchildren Aurora Rose and Orien Rose, her sisters Barbara Helman and husband Dr. Ed Helman of Medford, Oregon, and Roberta Kritzer and husband Robert Kritzer of Allentown, Pa, nieces and nephews.

Sue is predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Brodsky of Jerusalem, Israel, her first husband Walter Frohman, her second husband John Lew of Ossining, NY and her third husband Jerome Kurtzberg of Yorktown Heights, NY, and her brother, Stephen Weiss of Bethesda, Md.

Sue graduated from Hunter College in New York and earned a Masters Degree in Library Science.  She was employed as a librarian at Westchester Library and was a life-long member of Mensa International.

Sue loved books and was constantly reading.  She was a lover of the arts and music and attended concerts frequently. She was also a member of Friends of Music of Westchester, NY. Sue loved all animals and always had a feline companion.

Sue's love of her grandchildren and great grandchildren was her greatest joy.  Sue had a curious intellectual mind, a great love of science and nature and her  honesty, kindness and unusual generosity and selflessness will be remembered and missed.

The funeral service took place on Thursday, July 15. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Whiskers Pet Rescue in Southbury, CT in memory of Sue.
