Stephen A. White, 81, of Southbury, Connecticut, died Monday, July 20th, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 1944 in Norwalk, Connecticut, where he was raised. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rose White.

Stephen leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Penelope O’Donnell White; his son, Christopher White, and his wife, Zubin; his daughter, Stacy White; and five cherished grandchildren: Connor White and his wife, Brantley; Matthew White and his fiancée, Hannah; Ava Jo White; James Morice; and Aaron Morice. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol Mackness, of Oshawa, Canada, as well as several nieces and a nephew.

Stephen was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country for 6 years. Stephen’s career spanned 44 years as a Managing Agent with Allstate Insurance Company in Bethel retiring in 2007. He relished working and living in the Greater Danbury area and formed many lifelong relationships in the community.

As a lifetime member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, he was an avid boater and fisherman, Stephen loved nothing more than roaming Long Island Sound in search of the catch of the day. In his later years, he split his time between his home in Southbury and Naples, FL passport always in hand traveling the world with his wife, enjoying cherished time with his grandchildren, and spending time on the golf course in pursuit of that elusive hole-in-one.

His legacy lives on in his family. His loved ones always came first, and their loss is immeasurable. The memories of this kind and loving man—and his unforgettable grin—will remain in our hearts forever.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday July 28th at 11am at Saint Teresa of Avila Church, 146 Main St, Woodbury, CT 06798.
