IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen
Thompson
July 7, 1965 – July 7, 2023
Southbury- Stephen Thompson, 58, of Southbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving companion to Heidi Roberts. He would always introduce her to others as the love of his life.
Stephen was born July 7, 1965 in Waterbury, CT to the late Harry and Patricia (McGuire) Thompson. He attended local schools and when he entered the work force, he tried his hand at a number of different fields. He owned a private limousine service, he was a carpenter and trimmer, worked in HR for Webster Bank, mortgage broker, Marketing Director for Charter Communications and his most recent, lawncare and landscaper. Stephen was truly a Renaissance man, excelling at anything he put his mind to.
Stephen, like his careers, had a number of hobbies and interests. He had a passion for the fine arts, enjoying music and frequenting the theatre. He was an avid golfer and loved bowling. His heart, though, was with the Red Sox, Maine, and lobster! You never knew when you would get a spontaneous phone call to catch a game and a lobster dinner. Most of all, Stephen had a strong love for his family.
Stephen's greatest gift was that he could connect with people from all walks of life. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. His larger-than-life personality, contagious laugh and loving nature will be cherished in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
Besides his significant other Heidi, Stephen leaves his sisters, Betsey ( Ken) Kearney, Cynthia ( Michael) LeRoy, Laurie (Keith) Olsen, and Kathy (Patrick) Casey, his nieces and nephews Jennifer (Steve) Whitcomb, Patrick Kearney, Shannon LeRoy, Michael (Shauna) LeRoy, Haley Saner ( Nicole Sciacca) , Kyle Olsen, and Cate Olsen, great nieces and nephews Ripley and Trinity Whitcomb, and Brayden LeRoy, as well as many friends and relatives.
"We will miss you, our Big Baby Brother. Love with all our hearts."
