Woodbury- Stephen E. King Jr., 71, of Woodbury, CT passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, surrounded by family.

Born on June 22, 1953 in the Azores, Portugal, Steve was the son of the late Stephen E. King Sr. and Jane (Modzelewski) King. He graduated from Maloney High School in Meriden, CT in 1971 and was voted class vocalist. He went on to receive his Bachelors of Science for UCONN in Plant Science in 1987. He started his own business, Integrity Design, as a landscape architect and was a member of the Connecticut Nurseryman's Association for many years. His love of trees, plants, vegetables, and organic gardening inspired many of his closest friends and family. He won many blue ribbons at the Annual Bethlehem Fair for his entries. His warm smile and quick wit will be deeply missed.

Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joann (Jenusaitis) King, his son, Matthew King and his partner, Katie Fox; his niece, Sarah (Brown) Lane and his nephew, Aaron Brown. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy J. Brown.
