Waterbury Solomon Fein, 93, of Middlebury, died Thursday, October 27, 2016, peacefully and surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of the late Bea Fein.
Solomon was born in Belgium in 1922 and entered the United States through Ellis Island in 1923. Solomon managed his own industrial sewing machine repair company in New York City and was a factory manager for various garment and apparel companies throughout his long career.
Solomon served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was part of the D-Day landing in Normandy, France. He was very proud of his service and loved to share his experiences on his blog as the Oldest Military Blogger
