Mr. Sidney Westerman,, 77, of Elizabeth Circle, died Thursday October 19th at Bethel Health Care Center. He was the husband of Phyllis (Jacobson) Westerman.
Mr. Westerman was born September 13, 1929 in Everett, Massachusetts son of the late Hyman and Rose (Westerman) Westerman. He graduated from B. U. Law School and had a private law practice in Everett for 40 years, living in Lynnfield, MA.
He is a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was active in the Kiwanis Club serving as their President , active in the Salvation Army, and served on the Boards of Everett Savings Bank and the Widden Memorial Hospital in Everett..
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Dr. Gary Westerman of Southbury, a brother Bernard Westerman of New Hampshire, two sisters Ruth Falk of Boynton Beach, FL and Ella Zukoff of Wilmington, Delaware, two grandchildren Kenneth and Brian and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at the United Jewish Center Cemetery, Brookfield. There will be a memorial service Sunday October 22nd at 3:00 PM at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
