Obituary

Sharon Ann Brinnier passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2025. By her side, as always, was her beloved husband and best friend John "Jack" Brinnier.

Sharon was born October 15, 1951, the daughter of Adam "Al" and Mary (Tomczak) Davidian in Southington, Connecticut.

Sharon attended Southington High School and University of Connecticut, where she met her husband of over 50 years, Jack. After they were married, they lived in Woodstock, New York in the Catskill mountains, where she enjoyed hiking, fishing, and motorcycle rides with her little dog tucked in her coat. They relocated to Connecticut, finally settling in Woodbury. She worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterbury before becoming a full-time homemaker to care for her children. She too great pride in her family and home. As a self-taught chef and baker, she was the host and maker of the feast for many family gatherings at the holidays, especially at Thanksgiving. She loved her home, garden, and the wildlife nearby. She made sure her friendly crows got something to eat when they visited. She volunteered at many school and youth activities in loving dedication to her two precious children. Caring for her family was her great passion and purpose.

Sharon enjoyed organizing vacations at the ocean with family and friends. She found a special place in the South Carolina low country, Hunting and Fripp Islands. She loved spending part of the year there swimming, walking on the beach, collecting her beach treasures, exploring the rich history of the area, and visiting with friends, new and old.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents and sister Dyann (Dee) Beveridge. In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her children, Corinne (Nate) Brassfield and Jonathan (Samantha) Brinnier, four grandchildren, Zachary, Isabel, Jack, and Abigail. She is also survived by her brother Aram, two nieces Tara and Alicia and two nephews, Justin and Adam. Her family is ever thankful for the loving support of her caregivers, Eufemia, Tami, Marie, and Liza.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
