Sean McGovern, Beloved Son, Brother, and Friend

Lemoore, California — Sean McGovern, 43, formally of Woodbury, Connecticut, died suddenly at his home in Lemoore on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Sean was a graduate of Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, Connecticut, and of the Northern California College of Construction in Sacramento, California.   He was a heavy equipment operator employed at Lemoore Naval Air Facility by APTIM, a Navy defense contractor.

Born on October 31, 1974, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Sean was the son of Leo T. McGovern and Suanne (O'Hare) McGovern.

Sean was pre-deceased by his father and is survived by his mother, four brothers, Kevin, Steven, Ryan, and Darren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A kind soul, Sean was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Calling hours for a remembrance of Sean's life will be at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury, Connecticut, on Friday, November 2nd from 4pm-7pm.  Mass will be celebrated for Sean on Saturday, November 3rd at 11am, at St. Theresa's Church, Main Street North, Woodbury, immediately followed by his burial at New North Cemetery in Woodbury, A reception will follow the burial.
