IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott B.
Anderson
May 23, 1956 – July 5, 2022
On Tuesday July 5th, Scott Bradley Anderson, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 66 after a long battle with a degenerative lung condition. Scott was born in Chicago on May 23, 1956 to Ruth and Douglas Anderson. He grew up in Chicago and Pittsburg, spending many of his summers at the family cabin in Three Lakes, WI. He graduated from Penn State University in 1979 and had a long career in sales in the construction chemicals industry. On August 8, 1981 he married his childhood sweetheart, Suzanne Littleton. Together they raised two daughters, Kelly, and Dana in their family home in Bethlehem, Connecticut.
Dedicated to his family above all else, Scott thrived in his home life as an unwavering supporter of his daughters and wife. He could always be found on the sidelines or in the stands and frequently researched the finer points of whatever his daughters were passionate about at the time. He shared his love of the lake, teaching them to drive a boat, aquaplane, and ski. Later in life he enjoyed long walks in the woods with Suzanne and their dog, Nina.
Scott was an active member of his community. He dedicated himself to service at North Congregational Church where he was a deacon and the moderator. He also served WBYS for many years as a coach, board member, field liner, net hanger, and referee. Professionally he was passionate about chemical grout and trench drain, which for those who don't know make very wonderful subjects for vacation photos. Scott loved board games, puzzles, politics, a healthy debate, watching many televised sports (sailing, curling, cycling, volleyball, football, cornhole, soccer), and generally developing the finer points of his "funky old dude" persona.
Scott is preceded in death by his father, Doug and his mother, Ruth. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, his two daughters Kelly (Mike) and Dana (Mike), his granddaughter Andrea, his brothers Paul (Sandy) and Craig (Ann) and many cousins, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 16th at North Congregational Church in Woodbury, CT at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research. Cards may be sent to the family home in Bethlehem.
