Lt. Colonel Sargent N. Tower, USAF, Retired, 97
Sarge, a resident of Woodbury, CT, for 65 years passed away July 8, 2015, in his home at the Village of South Farms in Middletown, CT. He was born on October 28, 1917, to Sargent F. and Helen (Gould) Tower in Cohasset, MA-one of eight children.
He graduated from MIT in 1940 with the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and promptly enlisted in the U.S.A.F as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He saw action in the European, African and Middle Eastern theatre during WWII.
He worked as a mechanical engineer for the Shelton Sheet Metal Company, GE, Roy Sanford Co, and retired from the Hill and Harrigan Construction Company. His hobbies included hunting, model railroading, boating, camping, and reading.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Vivian (Miller) Tower; his second wife, Marjorie (Peterson) Tower; and five siblings. He is survived by his son, Sargent F. Tower II and wife, Linda of Old Saybrook, CT; his daughter, Elizabeth (Tower) Dobos and husband, Neil of Litchfield, CT; two siblings, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
His warm smile, kind spirit and sparkling blue eyes will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers please donate in his name to a charity of your choice.
Cemetery: New North Cemetery

Funeral: North Congregational Church
Services: The funeral service will be held at the North Congregational Church on Monday, July 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at the Woodbury North Cemetery.
