IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarah
Johnson
August 21, 1979 – February 14, 2022
Sarah was born in Danbury, CT, August 21, 1979. She passed away on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2022.
A self-described Rom Com Queen, Sarah saw the best in every person, and gave of herself without question. If everyone followed her example, the world would definitely be a better place.
She wrote love letters to friends, played softball, became a cheerleader, and ran track, even if she wasn't the best athlete. As an adult, Sarah ran 2 marathons and 10 half marathons.
If you were Sarah, you would make cookies for the men re-doing your roof, adopt the cat that has been returned to the humane society twice, and set alarms on your phone to check the status of your friends' creativity.
You would take up ballroom dancing, write a psa (public service announcement) good enough for an Emmy nomination, play scary good scrabble, and bring grocery bags full or oranges as a hostess present.
You would read people's name tags and call them by name ever after and ask them about themselves and their day.
You would lecture med students about your condition so they could be better doctors.
You would give money to causes you believe in, and most certainly, bust a move showing just how well you can dance, while waiting for AAA.
If you were Sarah, you would be brave in the face of adversity and not let the thought of embarrassment slow you down.
Sarah herself had found a way to overcome shyness and silence her inner critic, allowing for spontaneous adventures, and blossomed into the outgoing person beloved by so many.
She is survived by her parents Mitch and Carol Johnson, her sister Abbey (Johnson) Taylor, brother-in-law Patrick Taylor, her niece and nephew Olivia and Andy Taylor, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Celebrations of Sarah's life will be at Covid friendly sites. Dates to follow….
