Sandra J. (Bertrand) (Hallock) Sherman, 75, died June 2, 2014 at VITAS in Waterbury after a long illness.
Sandi was born December 22, 1938 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Maxine (Mazzonovich) Bertrand. She grew up in Woodbury and graduated from Woodbury High school. Sandi was a purchasing agent at WPM in Waterbury. She was a senior buyer at Seal Products and Hunt Manufacturing for many years.
Sandi enjoyed decorating her home and tending her gardens and was an excellent seamstress. She was also an avid UCONN Huskies fan.
She leaves her daughter, Elinor Gagne of Waterbury; her son, Dale Hallock of Waterbury; her grandson, Garey Gagne of Plantsville and her great granddaughters, Katie and Jaime to whom she was affectionately known as "great grandma - in - charge," her sisters, Deata Bertrand of Dover Plains, NY, Debbie Oldenburg and Dawn Marzullo both of Marathon, FL. She was predeceased by her sisters, Denise Bertrand, Diane Campbell and Donna Rabideau and her step mother, Bernice Bertrand.
