Samuel Allen Darlington Vincent (Sam) of Woodbury CT, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on May 17th, 2026 at the age of 74. He was the husband of Ellen Vincent.

Sam was born on November 2nd 1951 at Norwalk Hospital to Samuel Mitchell Vincent and Mary Taylor Vincent. He grew up in Fairfield CT and attended Fairfield Country Day School, The Kent School in Kent CT and graduated from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson.

Sam had a successful career in the magazine and publishing business and was the Marketing and Advertising Director for Taunton Press before he retired in 2001. He was introduced by friends to Ellen Hockeimer and the connection was instant. They married in 1989 and spent a beautiful 37 years as husband and wife.

Sam was a real individualist with a thirst for knowledge and a penchant for hilarity. He was kind and the best friend you could have. He loved his little doggies, rock and roll, good food and good friends. And most of all, his Ellen.

Per Sams wishes, there will be no services.
