Mr. Samuel M. Taub, 91, of Southbury, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at River Glen Health Care Center. He was the husband of Frances (Grace) Taub.
Mr. Taub was born August 3, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Joseph and Bertha Taub. He has resided in Southbury for the past 26 years. Mr. Taub graduated from BA Brooklyn City College, NY where he received his master's degree in psychology. He worked for ten years as a psychologist having worked at South Beach Psychiatric and also worked for a while at Reicher's Island.
Mr. Taub was a WW II US Army veteran and continued to work for the Army as a civilian for 37 years. He ran the Heritage Village Reading Club for 5 years and was member of the Heritage Village Ambulance.
Besides his wife of 67 years, he leaves a son, David H. Taub of Ashland, OR, a daughter Joanne Taub of Newton, MA, three sisters, his twin Rose Trigaboff of Delray Beach, FL, Harriet Goldberg of New Jersey and Celia Gallis of Brooklyn, NY and 4 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Alexander Taub and a sister, Sonia Kaplowitz.

Services: A private graveside will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery, Southbury.
