Ruth Ingeburg DePina, 86, of Naugatuck, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of Herbert DePina, her husband of 60 years. Ruth passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, her husband, son Michael and his wife Karen at her side. She had remained at her home throughout her illness lovingly cared for by her husband who never left her side. Ruth was born March 7, 1926 in Breslau, Germany, daughter of the late Erich Sigismund and Martha Friede Emma Bruschke Zeletzki. She was a graduate of Stein College in Breslau in 1945, where she studied dentistry. She worked as a dental assistant at a US military post in Bamberg, Germany, where she met her husband Herbert. Immigrating to the US in 1952, Ruth lived in New York and then moved to Connecticut in 1955 where she worked in the data entry field for several local companies. She loved animals, flowers and gardening. She is survived by her husband Herbert, her sons, Michael and his wife Karen of Oxford and Jerry and his wife Yvette of Murrieta, CA; her brother Manfred Zeletzki and his wife Luise of Neuendettelsau, Germany and her sister, Trautel Scheurlein and her husband Emil of Heilsbronn, Germany.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury
Services: Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 10 at 2: 00 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
