Ruth Anna Bacon, 81 of Naugatuck, formerly of Woodbury, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 31 at her home. She was the wife of Henry K. Bacon. Mrs. Bacon was born September 19, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late William and Dorothy Hunt Anderson. Mrs. Bacon received a bachelor's degree in Bible Studies form Maryville College in Maryville, TN. She had lived in Woodbury for 45 years before moving to Naugatuck. Besides her husband of 58 years, she is survived by five sons, William Bacon and his wife Ruth of Durham, Daniel Bacon of Girdletree, MD, Joel Bacon and his wife Janet of North Hills, PA, Karl Bacon and his wife Jackie of Naugatuck, Peter Bacon and his wife Martha, of Derry, NH; a daughter, Martha Quinto and her husband Jeff of Wallingford; a brother, Lloyd Anderson of Tampa, FL; and a sister, Evelyn Wood of Branford, FL; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 565 Shepard Ave, Hamden. Private graveside services will be held in the Old North Cemetery, Woodbury.
