IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosy (Chiu
Xi Ying) Chow
October 21, 1940 – July 9, 2009
NEW YORK-
Rosy Chow
Daughter in Christ, wife, mother, and grandmother
Rosy Chow, (Chiu Xi Ying) 68, of New Paltz, New York died July 9, 2009 in her home. Rosy Chow was born in Shanghi, China on October 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Chiu Ping Sun and Kang Jyu Ying. She is the youngest of eleven children. When communism spread across China, she and her family fled to Hong Kong (under British rule at that time). She met Edwin Chow and fell in love. They were married in March of 1965. They had- two children, Ena and Harold. She and her family immigrated to the United States in 1971. Her children grew and had families of their own. She was proud to include Gregory Donald Bell as her son in law, and Joanna Wei Chen as her daughter in law. Since then, five other additions have been added to her little family. They are Nathaniel, Christopher, Ariana, Kaitlyn, and Danielle. She loved her grandchildren very much.
Anyone who knew Rosy knows that she had a thirst for life. She always had a twinkle in her eye and she knew the Lord. She was devoted to her faith and to her family. With that faith, she was a survivor of three previous cancers. She fought bravely against her fourth cancer , but it finally overtook her. Her family misses her greatly, but know that they will celebrate their reunion in heaven. "We love you Mom".
