Rose Slaiby, 88, of Middlebury, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Middlebury Convalescent Home. She was the widow of Morris Slaiby. Mrs. Slaiby was born January 25, 1920 in Hiffa, Palestine, daughter of the late Elais and Kamale (Atella) Gedeon. Mrs. Slaiby was a nurse's aide at the Middlebury Convalescent Home for over 40 years. She is survived by her son, George Slaiby of Morris; her daughter, Teresa Allen of Torrington; 5 grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Dr. Phillip Gedeon.
