Rose (Monaco) Gracy, 91

Rose Gracy, 91, of Woodbury, CT, passed away on Jan. 31st at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.

Rose was born in Seymour and graduated Seymour High School in 1944. She worked at Uniroyal, Risdon Manufacturing, and retired from the Amity School System in 1985. In retirement, she did volunteer work for the elderly. She was a devout Christian who loved family, singing, playing piano, and cats.

Rose is preceded in death by parents, Francesco and Antoinette Monaco, brother Benjamin, and sisters Elaine and Louise. She is survived by children Robert Thompson, Wesley Thompson, Lynn Johnson, Frank Gracy and Don Gracy, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family extends gratitude to Jan and Norm Ricker of Oxford for their friendship and care giving during her later years.

Visitation will be held at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury on Weds Feb 7th 9:00-10:45 AM. Mass will follow at 11 AM at United Church of Christ in Southbury, with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia, CT at 12:30PM
