In loving memory of Rose Marie Santise, age 99, of Woodbury, CT, formerly of the Bronx, NY., passed away peacefully at home on March 13th, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 4, 1925, she was the cherished daughter of Marie (Volino) and Anthony Milo, and one of five devoted sisters. Rose Marie was married to her beloved husband, Pat Santise, for 47 years before his passing. She was predeceased by her sister Lucy, Laudo, and is lovingly remembered by her remaining sisters, Philomena Cohen, Gilda Kelly, and Joanne Milo, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Rose Marie dedicated over 40 years of her career as a supervisor at Irving Trust on Wall Street, where she was respected and admired. Her warmth and kindness made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered, and her radiant smile had the power to brighten even the darkest days. A gifted singer, Rose Marie brought joy to many through her beautiful voice, whether she was performing on the couch to her favorite musicals or lending her talents to church choirs. She had a passion for crocheting blankets for her family, cooking delightful meals, and baking her famous cheesecakes, all of which were expressions of her deep love for those around her. Rose Marie's compassion and devotion to her family were immeasurable, and her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her remarkable life during calling hours on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M., at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, CT. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10:30 A.M., at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 146 Main Street South, Woodbury. The burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rose Maries's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her legacy of love and kindness.
