Ronald "Ron-Bob" Burdick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Ronnie was born on December 23,1951 in Waterbury, Ct., son of Helen (Olson) Burdick and the late Elward Burdick.
He was a long time employee of O&G Industries, from where he retired. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion. Ronnie was a devoted firefighter for the town of Woodbury for over 40 years.
He enjoyed family time, trips to Cape Cod, and especially loved time with his grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than playing trucks with Izzy. Ronnie was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoyed NASCAR and he was a loyal and steadfast fan of the New York Yankees and the UConn Huskies.
Ronnie is survived by his two daughters, Susan Burdick (Casey Rushin) and Mary Harris (Don Harris) of Woodbury, and his beloved granddaughters, Izzy and Sarah. He is also survived by his Mother, Helen Burdick of Woodbury, sisters Charlotte (Mickey) Davidson of Gales Ferry, CT, Cheryl Barker (Charlie) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Brother Jeff Burdick of Woodbury, CT, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Oddy Burdick.

Services: A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July1, 2015 at 10 am at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Woodbury.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 4-8 pm at the Woodbury funeral home of Munson- Lovetere, 2 School Street, Woodbury. Graveside services and burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Southbury,
