Obituary

Woodbury - Robert A. Riesbeck of Woodbury, died Friday, July 20th at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the widower of Frances (LaFarina) Riesbeck.

Mr. Riesbeck was born in New York City, son of the late Edward J. and Dorothy Riesbeck. A dedicated husband and father, he owned and operated a real estate appraisal company. He frequently did work for the Naugatuck Savings Bank and other local banks. Prior to his work as a real estate appraiser, he owned and operated different local businesses. Mr. Riesbeck was also involved for many years with the Woodbury Lions Club and was an active parishioner at The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Ct.

He leaves three children and their spouses. sons, Peter M. Riesbeck of Windham, ME and his wife Janet; Christopher J. Riesbeck of Avon, CT and his wife Laurie; and a daughter, Lisa Burgess of Woodbury and her husband Jim; as well as five grandchildren; Theresa, Christopher, Kristen, Michael and Brian. He is also survived by his brother, Paul J. Riesbeck of Northfield and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place at Church of The Nativity in Bethlehem on Monday July 23rd at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Old North Cemetery in Woodbury. Calling hours will be held at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., on Sunday July 22nd from 4:30 to 8:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Meriden Executive Park, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
