Robert E. Poluhowich, 63 of Roxbury, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008. He was the husband of Sharon (Galligan) Poluhowich.
Mr. Poluhowich was born April 4, 1945 in Bridgeport, son of the late John and Alice (Hanson) Poluhowich. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Education and has resided in Roxbury for 30 years. He was a home painter. Mr. Poluhowich was a volunteer for 30 years at the Bethlehem Fair and enjoyed camping, fishing and baseball. He was member of the Knight of Columbus, Southbury and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Matthew R. Poluhowich of Roxbury and Daniel P. Poluhowich of Jersey City, NJ, a daughter, Kate Poluhowich of New Gloucester, ME, two brothers, John Poluhowich, PhD of Sand Jacinto, CA and his twin brother, William E. Poluhowich of Bridgeport and a sister, Edith "Edie" Rupe of Bethlehem, CT. He also leaves behind his cherished dogs, Harry, a Yorkshire Terrier and Rosie, a Shitzu.

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church
Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury. Burial will follow in Carmel Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem.
Visitation: Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
