Robert Pfeiffer,81, passed away peacefully at home. He was born September 3, 1937 in Hackensack, NJ to Jack and Janet (Franken) Pfeiffer. He was predeceased by his son Edward Pfeiffer. Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years Jeanette Healey, a brother Richard Pfeiffer (Marien) of North Carolina, a daughter Pamela McKaige of Millerton, NY and two grandchildren Elizabeth Loomis and Stuart McKaige. He was a lifelong resident of Southbury and he enjoyed freshwater and saltwater fishing, birding, clamming, gardening and collecting trains. Robert loved his family, friends, neighbors and cats.

One year after a winter storm, those who know Robert can picture this, he pulled his portable generator in his little red flyer wagon, dressed in his old jeans with duct tape patches to cover the holes, his suspenders and old wool hat, to assist three of his neighbors. Robert was a very happy and easygoing man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

There will be no calling hours. The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date.
