Robert Nelson, 77, of Southbury Training School, Southbury, passed away on Saturday February 5, 2011 at his home in Cottage 16 surrounded by his family, friends and staff who loved him. Robert was born October 23, 1934, son of the late Richard Nelson and Dorothy Sullivan-Nelson.
During his life at Southbury Training School, he held many jobs on the campus including working at Leonardo's Restaurant and working at many cottages in various capacities.
Robert was involved in his local community including the Monroe Knights of Columbus and was known by many business owners over the years in the Southbury area. He liked music, fine dining and sports and was an active member of the STS Resident Counsel. He will be deeply missed by all from Southbury Training School and his local Southbury community.
