Robert (Bob) Walter Heyde Jr, 78 of Oxford, CT and a 44 year resident of Rye, NY died after a short illness April 28th, 2012. Born October 24, 1933 in Hackensack, NJ to Myrtle and Robert Heyde, Sr. He married Beatrice Loffredo on April 27, 1957. Robert is survived by his wife, Bea and five children Robert III (Debra) of Somers, NY; William (Jackie) of Wilton, CT; Barrett (Tracy) of Darien, CT; Bonnie Strati (Gary) of Greenwich, CT; and Bradley (Meredith) of Simpsonville, SC; five granddaughters and eight grandsons; brothers Charles (Barbara) of White Plains and Fred (Dallas) of White Plains, NY and several nieces and nephews. Robert was a 37 year Kraft Foods employee. Bob volunteered his time with his children in Rye for Little League baseball and Boy Scouts. He was actively involved in various fundraising activities including MayFair for the United Hospital in Port Chester, NY. In later years he served as a Board Member for the Coveleigh Club in Rye, NY. He retired in 1993 and since then enjoyed dividing his time between Oxford, CT and Bonita Springs, FL where he enjoyed tennis, golf, swimming in his pool, but most of all, spending time with his lovely bride Bea.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Robert's name to St Thomas the Apostle Parish, 733 Oxford Rd, Rte 67, Oxford, CT 06478.

Services: Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 2 at 10: 30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford road (Route 67) in Oxford, CT followed by interment.

Visitation: Visitation will be at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. North, Southbury, CT on Tuesday, May 1, from 2: 00PM - 4: 00pm and from 6: 00PM - 9: 00PM.
