Southbury - Mr. Robert Weldon Ewing, 82, husband of Melba (Cole) Ewing died December 20, 2013 in Danbury. Mr. Ewing was born December 31, 1930 in Ranger TX.. A son of the late Benton and Opal Ewing. Mr. Ewing spent 3 years at the University of Houston TX,. Two years in the Army during the Korean War Conflict. He worked with Unysis for 33 Years. Mr. Ewing was married July 24, 1959 and was married for 54 ½ years. He enjoyed model airplanes and in the later years word search puzzles. He loved his family very much, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a kind and caring man who loved to tell jokes.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Lisa Long and her husband kevin, his son Michael Ewing and his wife Kelly. His grandchildren Brittany Rand and her husband Wesley, Jake Ramirez, Chase Long, Justin Long, Madison Long, Stephen Ewing and his wife Shawna, Robert Ewing and Sarah Ewing. His sister Nancy DeWeese.
