Robert ("Bob") Eisenman, 81, of Southbury, died on Dec. 24, 2016. He was born July 1, 1935 in Hartford to the late Leslie Eisenman and Marguerite (Fletcher) Eisenman.
He was the husband of Deborah (Cogswell) Eisenman. Attending Fairfield and Bridgeport schools, he graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport, Class of 1953, having lettered in baseball. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army and served from 1954 to 1957.
He began his career in the graphic arts industry in 1958, as a compositor for Hardgrove Typesetting, and was a principal officer or owner of several companies – Bomar Press, McQuillan Marsh Printing Corporation, GT Office Products, and, finally, Graphictype in Southbury.
In retirement, he enjoyed bowling in area senior bowling leagues and was an avid UConn Women Huskies basketball fan.
Beside his wife of over forty years, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Normandin (Keith), a daughter, Lee Volpe, grandchildren Emily and Eric (Karen) Normandin, a great grandson Joey, a step-son Don Kelley (Melissa), their children, Mitchell, Philippe and Julia, and many cousins.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Memorial Wall of the United Church of Christ, Southbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 and to the Boys and Girls Club of America in Waterbury.
