IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Charles
Dennison
October 22, 1944 – June 10, 2015
After a courageous battle with lung cancer, Robert 'Bob' Dennison passed peacefully on June 10, 2015 in Southbury, CT at the age of 70. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Aline Dennison, and their son, Christopher.
Bob was born on October 22, 1944 in Meriden, CT to father Harley Dennison and mother Frances Harder Dennison, both of whom are deceased. He had one brother, Harley Jr., and one sister, Jane Dennison Musshorn, who also preceded him in death.
A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Bob graduated from Woodbury High School before attending Quinnipiac College. As a child, he helped his parents breed Springer Spaniels. However, his love for animals went beyond house pets, as he owned a horse and enjoyed horseback riding around the rolling Connecticut hills.
Bob gallantly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. His career path took him into the purchasing department at GDC Pairgain and Data Products.
As much as Bob enjoyed baseball, softball, hunting, canoeing, and camping, he thrived on golf, particularly hitting the links with Aline and Christopher annually in Hilton Head, SC.
There's no doubt that the primary target for Bob's love and devotion was Aline and Christopher. The times spent grilling on the back patio with Aline and vacationing together down south in search of warmer weather highlighted their marriage. Nothing made Bob smile more than watching Chris make a big hit on a running back in Pop Warner, or seeing his lineman son open up a gaping hole for a running back at D1-A CCSU. The pride he exuded for Chris was beyond measure, as was his love and commitment to Aline.
