IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Vanspyke
Carlson
November 2, 1990 – June 23, 2024
Walpole, New Hampshire- Robert VanSpyke Carlson, 33, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his sleep on Sunday, June 23, 2024.
He is now a welcomed guest at God's table, where he has been met with the authentic love of other beloved family members whom have gone before him.
Robert was born on November 2, 1990, the beloved son to Stephen Gustav Carlson and Michele Richardson. Robert was the pride of his two grandfathers; Reginald VanSpyke Richardson and Kenith Gustav "Pappy" Carlson.
He lived in Walpole, New Hampshire with his mother Michele Richardson and her fiancé William Surette. Robert developed a close bond with William, often seeking advice from his trusted confidant.
Robert had fierce love for his sisters Cassidy B. Carlson of Charleston, SC and Courtney C. Carlson of Denver, Colorado. He was proud of the artwork he displayed on his body in the form of tattoos as his genuine devotion to his sisters. Robert's artwork symbolized his unwavering dedication to Cassidy and Courtney, sisters who meant the world to him. Despite life leading them in different directions, Robert's commitment to his siblings remained resolute.
A skilled farrier for 17 years, Robert also possessed an innate talent for welding, which he applied to his passion for mechanics, specifically motorcycles, lifted trucks, and fast cars. A dedicated athlete, Robert excelled in sports, such as baseball and later turning his focus to motocross.
Known as "The Toughest Warrior" by his loved ones, Robert earned admiration for his unwavering strength, discipline, and courage. Robert was not afraid to plant his flag, beat his drum and be heard. Despite his moniker as Savage Rob, those close to him also recognized his gentle nature, fierce loyalty, and commitment to standing up for those in need, especially women, children, and individuals impacted by mental health challenges.
Robert's physical absence will forever reverberate as a loss in our lives, yet the presence of his soul and the lives he touched, will stay with us always.
