Robert "Bob" Bridges, 68, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away on May 19, 2008.
He was born in Hartford, CT to the late Joseph Nelson Bridges and Alice Bridges (Molloy). Bob attended Woodbury and Watertown, CT public schools. He graduated from Cheshire Academy, Cheshire, CT and Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont.
Retired at the time of death, Bob most recently worked for Main Steel Polishing Company, for 30 years, as a Midwest district sales manager. His employer recounts: "Those of us who knew Bob will remember him for his dry sarcastic wit, and his ready jokes. No one who knew Bob will be able to think of him and not be able to smile when recalling all those meetings and golf outings when he could disarm the toughest client".

Bob is survived by his sister, Alison Bridges of Winsted, CT; sister-in-law, Judith Bridges of Old Forge, New York; nieces Jean Mahon of Seattle, WA, Jody Caetano of Somers, CT; and, Jill Blewitt of Prospect, CT; He is, also survived by grandnieces and grandnephews who, lovingly, referred to him as: "The Grunckle" (Great Uncle).

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, family and friends are welcomed to contribute to their favorite charities in Bob's memory.

Services: A graveside memorial ceremony will be conducted at Mount Saint Benedict's Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT, at 1: 00 on Friday June 27, 2008
