Robert T. Andes, formerly of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Audrey (Fanning) Andes. Bob was born in Milford, CT on July 1, 1936, the son of the late Thomas Andes and Marion (Ward) Franzese. After graduation from Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, Bob joined the staff of the Post Publishing Co., which is now the CT Post. Bob retired after 36 years of service in the capacity of layout supervisor of the morning, evening and Sunday newspapers. Upon retirement, Bob and Audrey moved to Heritage Village in Southbury. You could often see him tending his grounds and garden, which he took great pride in. One of his favorite past times was splitting wood while greeting neighbors passing by. Bobs most cherished memories were spending time with his family and yearly vacations and reunions with family and friends. Besides his wife Audrey, Bob is survived by his sons, Kevin of Ansonia, Brett of Seymour; his daughter Kim Carrasco and her husband Glenn of Seymour; 2 granddaughters, Nicole And Marisa; his sisters, Denise Kummer and her husband Robert of Waterbury and Debbie Ryan and her husband Tom of West Haven and several nieces and nephews.
