Richard Wysocki, 78 of Southbury, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. Richard was born April, 3, 1939 in Scranton PA, the son of the late Matthew Wysocki and Rose Boretsky Wysocki. He spent most of his life in Ansonia until moving to Southbury in 2010. Shortly after marrying, he was drafted and proudly seryed in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he worked for FarrelCorporation and Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement in 2009. Richard was an avid reader of Louis LAmour Westerns and enjoyed watching the history channel. He was a true Yankee fan and rarely missed a game. He enjoyed spending time with his family of whom he was very proud. Enjoyment and luck were frequent at the Mohegan Sun Casino. Special times were shared with his wife, Margaret, of nearly 56 years in Cape Cod. He also enjoyed trips, with family, to Disney World, The Grand Canyon, New York City, Vegas and various other destinations. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David (Donna) Wysocki, of prospect, Richard (Lori) Wysocki, of Barkhamstead and one daughter, Carol (Donald) Mastersanti, of Oxford. Six grandchildren, Joseph and Sarah Mastersanti, and Kathleen, William, Kelly and Matthew Wysocki. He was the brother of Constance Yeager and the late Joan Popowchak. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, September 21, from 6 to 8 pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury.
