Mr. Richard J. Norton, 73, of Danbury died Wednesday February 23, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. He was born April 7, 1938 in Jackson Heights, New York a son of the late Edward and Catherine (Sullivan) Norton.
Richard was a very personable person and enjoyed short outings to places like restaurants, the shopping mall and the park. He enjoyed going to the Catholic Church on Sundays for mass and knew the service order perfectly. He loved the NY Yankees and is an avid fan. His favorite football team is the NY Jets, however, he was more of a baseball fan.
In public, Richard was very gregarious and would speak to anyone who showed an interest in him. Most folks were very kind to him and responded favorably to his friendliness. Time spent with him was always a delight.
He is survived by a nephew, Bill Norton, 3 nieces, Pat Hyatt, Kathy Perez and Peggy Boihies, as well as several cousins.

Services: A memorial service will be held at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., on Friday March 11th at 11: 00am. Burial will be held privately in the spring.
