Richard A. Lutes Sr., 90 of Southbury, formerly of Pekin, Illinois, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at The Lutheran Home of Southbury. He was the husband of the late Eunice Busch Lutes. Mr. Lutes was born August 17, 1918 in Oakford, Illinois, son of the late Clarence and Elmira Lutes. Mr. Lutes received a bachelor's degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. His career was spent working in management positions in the transportation industry in Peoria and was a past president of the Peoria, Illinois Transportation Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He is survived by his son, Richard A. Lutes, M.D. of Southbury; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Margo Arnett.
