Mr. Richard D. Lee Sr., 68, of Woodside Ave died Tuesday October 2nd 2007 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the widower of Elizabeth (Comstock) Lee and the husband of Mary Ann (O'Neill) Lee.
Mr. Lee was born May 28, 1939 in Canyon City, Colorado son of the late Charles Robert and Annie Rose Lee. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1956 - 1958 and spent most of his life working construction as an equipment operator. He loved his 50's music and dancing with his wife. His hobbies also included woodworking, cars, airplanes, computers and cats. The most important thing in his life was his family who he adored.
Besides his wife he is survived by 4 sons, Richard Lee Jr. and his wife Shari of Waterbury, Ronald Earl and his wife Gail of Ione, CA, Gary Earl and his wife Liz of Dillon, MT, and Dennis Earl and his wife Lisa of Acworth, NH, a daughter Darlene Rowe and her husband Doug of Umatilla, FL, a sister Sheryl Knight and her husband Tom of Boise, Idaho, two brothers Wayne Lee and his wife Pattie of Salem, OR and Charles Lee and his wife Julie, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday October 6th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at 500 Woodside Ave. Apt# 101, Middlebury, Ct 06762. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Richard's memory to The American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
