Richard A. Dupont, a longtime resident of Southbury, CT passed away suddenly of natural causes at his home on May 28, 2016.He would have been 54 in June.

Rick was the oldest son of Richard A. Dupont, Sr. (who passed away in 1994) and Bianca P. Dupont.

He was born in Massachusetts and spent most of his childhood in New Jersey.

Rick leaves behind his mother, Bianca Dupont of Florida, 2 sisters: Rebecca Jarmas of Virginia and Christina Anderson of Arizona, 2 brothers: Kevin Dupont of Vermont and Matthew Dupont of Massachusetts.

Rick also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews all of whom so loved their Uncle Rick. He also leaves behind his god daughter Kelly who was a very special part of his life and numerous cousins, Aunts, Uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law and close friends. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was an active and highly respected member of the Connecticut construction community. Beginning as a carpente's apprentice, Rick started his own business offering a range of construction, management and consulting services to his residential and commercial clients.

In addition to his skills in construction, Rick enjoyed many outdoor activities. He was an avid sailor (having participated in Sunday races on the lake as a child) and a fanatic car enthusiast, taking pride in maintaining all of his vehicles.

Rick was out on his motorcycle whenever the weather permitted.

Rick was a dedicated Yankees/Giants fan. He also played guitar for relaxation and was a lover of music, always having tunes playing both indoors and out.

Rick was a very beloved member of the family and his completely unexpected passing has left a huge hole in all of our lives.

Services: A gathering of family and friends will take place in the afternoon on Saturday the 16th of July for a celebration of Rick's life at The Meeting House Pub 37 Stony Hill Rd. Bethel, CT.
