Deysenroth
February 4, 1932 – October 14, 2008
Richard P.Deysenroth Sr., age 76, formerly of Norwalk, Danbury and Woodbury, died Tuesday, October 14, at Bethel Health Care where he received loving care for the last 3 1/2 years after a long courageous battle with COPD. Richard passed to his eternal resting place with his family by his side. He was the husband of Patricia (Maestro) Deysenroth.
Richard was born in Norwalk on February 4,1932 a son of the late Henry and Hazel (Arnold) Deysenroth. Richard, a devoted father and grandfather will be sadly missed by his wife, Patricia of 55 years, his three children and their spouses; Richard, Jr., and Diane Deysenroth of Danbury, Mark Deysenroth also of Danbury, and Mary (Deysenroth) and Leon Yuftczak of Bethlehem, Connecticut, and his three beloved grandchildren; Brianna and Nathan Deysenroth and Jillian Yuftczak. Richard is survived by his brother Henry Deysenroth Jr., and his wife, Barbara of Redding, Judith Hammond of Norwalk, Mildred Bird of Decatur, IL. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Charlotte Cusack formerly of Danbury, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard began his career at Homestead Bakery, a family-operated business in Norwalk for many years. He later owned a franchise of Arnold Bakery and later became an Assistant Manager at Arnold's Greenwich location. Richard retired from Arnold's in 1986. During his retirement he worked part-time for Stop & Shop Supermarket in Danbury.
Richard and his wife, Patricia, were active members of the South Norwalk Boat Club for years where many special occasions with family and friends can be remembered. An avid fan of crossword puzzles, Richard also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, attending auctions, refinishing antiques and most tender to his heart spending time with his family.

Services: A Celebration of Life in memory of Richard; with readings, prayers and reflections will be observed at 5: 30 p.m. with Reverend Earle Sanford officiating
Visitation: Family and friends will be received Sunday, October 19th from 5: 00 to 8: 00 p.m. at Nunnawauk Meadows', Community Building, 3 Nunnawauk Road in Newtown.
