Richard L. (Rick) Bentham, 62, of Naugatuck, formerly of Seymour, passed away December 6, 2018 at the Hospital of St. Raphael after a long illness. He was born July 30, 1956, son of Elizabeth (Betty) Bentham of Naugatuck, and the late John L. (Larry) Bentham Jr. Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Bill Bentham (Dianna Villafana) of Sandy Hook; a sister, Lori Bentham of Naugatuck, with whom he resided; a son, Richard Dominick Bentham of Las Vegas, Nevada; a daughter, Nicole Bentham of Warren, Michigan; and two granddaughters.

Before his illness, he was employed as a truck driver for Curved Glass of Derby, and Sorensen Transportation of Bethany.

The family would like to thank Drs. Nussbaum and Matusz, and DaVita Dialysis Center of Shelton, for their kindness and help.

In accordance with his wishes, services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Seymour Ambulance Association.
