REGINALD G. LEWIS, SR.

OAKVILLE- Reginald G. Lewis, Sr., 84, of Oakville, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Lewis was born January 24, 1928 in Southbury, son of the late Myron and Fanny (Vogelbach) Lewis. He grew up in Southbury and has resided in Oakville for the past ten years, previously living most of his life in Sandy Hook. He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Mechanic's Lodge and also Good Shepherd Lodge in New Milford. Being a carpenter by trade, Mr. Lewis retired from Church Hill Builders in Woodbury and worked most of his life with his brother Elmer in Bethel, CT and also enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Lewis was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

He leaves two sons, Reginald G. Lewis, Jr. and Michael I. Lewis both of Oakville, three daughters, Brenda A. Coffin and her husband Stephen of Danbury, Rosemary A. Stevenson and her husband Jeff of Danbury, Lisa Mae Yurtsever of North Syracuse, NY, a brother Elmer Lewis and his wife Lucille of Danbury, four sisters, Helen Jurgens of Oxford, Doris E. Lewis and Betty Chapman both of Southbury, Inez Ely and her husband Dwight of Ladson, SC., a sister in-law Grace Lewis, thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Lewis, two brothers in-law Alfred Jurgens and Robert Chapman.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14th at 1 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.

Visitation: Friends may call the funeral home on Monday from 5- 8 p.m.
